Finally – a seriously educational app that leads children from early phonological awareness and phonics right up to reading full sentences while integrating printing skills and teaching through games. Reading Raven is an incredible learn-to-read app, easily the best I’ve encountered to date in the App Store. I’m in love, and so are my kids.

I'm excited to see what the future will bring for iTooch and their series of comprehensive, grade level apps for mobile devices. Perhaps some day we'll see Social Studies added to this large collection of educational modules for upper elementary! Until then, iTooch Elementary School will continue to provide an affordable, independent, and sound way for parents to encourage learning, practice, and test-based accomplishment in language arts, math, science and health in a format that focuses on content rather than effects.

Noodle Words is the most fun I’ve ever had exploring words with my children. We sat down together and laughed, and tapped, and giggled – the words and bugs not only intrinsically demonstrate the meaning of each word, but they also have an awful lot of fun doing so! I hope new word sets are coming soon.

The Adventures of Robin Hood has only strengthened my opinion that the multilingual storybook apps produced by Chocolapps (previously So Ouat!) provide the most feature-filled read along experience available in children’s storybook apps today.

TJ’s Picture Dictionary is a bright, easy-to-use picture dictionary with lots of audio content to keep pre-readers engaged and exploring first words and accessible, context-rich definitions. This app makes an interesting bridge between short first words books and the longer, traditional print children’s dictionaries.
