The Dream, World Explorer Edition is a splendid blending of story, facts, and interactive educational mini-games conveying a simple, broad sweep of the flavor of the language, culture, and places of Arabia. While links to social media are inserted too prominently and frequently for my liking, The Dream provides an impressive amount of content in both the free lite version and the full World Explorer Edition.

Deeply motivating and truly a joy to use, your children will beg you for a chance to explore the basic structure of stories as they craft their own animated cartoons. This free app is incredibly rich and full of features (but don’t be surprised if your children ask you to buy some expansion sets - they are fabulous). Toontastic isn’t an app you want to miss - go get it and give it a spin!

Magic Coloring gives your children nine free coloring pages (without ads!) with four different levels of difficulty to complete – how can you go wrong? My girls are eagerly awaiting the creation of new sets of coloring pages for this app so we can buy some more pages – they really love all the neat details this app includes.

You get the full, narrated, interactive book which is gorgeous in its own right for teaching gentle art history and picture study, characters to color that animate, and a wealth of puzzles to solve. Van Gogh is a beautiful, well-designed app filled with rich, integrated educational possibilities that shouldn’t be missed. I hope to see many more apps in this vein from Auryn!
